AYBE THE INDIGO EPK

If the music is good you dance, if the dancing is slick and sharp, the same kind of music needs to accompany it. Brian Witsch has merged his two passions and transformed into the dance and music artist Aybe The Indigo. At first, dance was his main focus, having created moves in front of the mirror since he was a young child, looking up to James Brown for inspiration. He was soon performing his self-taught dancing on the big stage. When he was 18, he moved to LA where he mastered hip hop, krump, popping, and breakdance, after which he returned to Switzerland to study contemporary and urban dance for three years. He then started working as a professional dancer, performing at the biggest venues in Zurich. At a certain point, Aybe The Indigo became inspired to move from his passion for dance and started creating his own sound. Influenced by American singer Omarion, Aybe The Indigo used the same determination, dedication, and creativity he has in dance to make his own tracks, which are finally ready to be released.

Perhaps because he mastered dance as an art form first, it is impossible to sit still while listening to his creations. The beat hits deep and even his slower tracks inspire movement. Although his tracks are predominantly French, he is a cross-language artist, having also written lyrics in Swiss-German and English. Aybe The Indigo’s music is fresh and sharp, and you can feel it in his debut single “Attaché” released in April and followed by “Labyrinthe” to be released on the 2nd of July 2021. His unique angle blends genres of hip hop, pop, and RnB in a way that resonates with the core of each genre, making Aybe The Indigo one to watch.

Professional dancer and urban artist Aybe The Indigo releases his debut single “Attaché” accompanied by its music video. A smooth and catchy beat with beautiful vocals in French. The lyrics are romantic and optimistic, but the tone is slightly melancholic, with a hook that even a non-French speaker will get stuck in their head. Aybe The Indigo’s background as a dancer gives him a unique angle, his ability to fluidly move his body translates musically and is very apparent in the layers and build-up of “Attaché”. This approach blends genres of hip hop, afro-urban, and RnB in a way that resonates with the core of each genre, making Aybe The Indigo one to watch.

LABYRINTHE

Life is like a maze, where getting lost at some point is almost a guarantee. People are put in all sorts of situations in life, some make it out quickly, some continuously search for the answer and some get stuck. I’ve often been in situations where I didn’t know which direction to turn and have felt stuck for long periods of time.

People need to keep pushing and trying, and not allow their own demons to devour them. Paths can be tricky, there are sometimes too many options, but keep fighting, follow the light and you will find a way out.
